The first night of my stay in Cebu was spent at the FILI Hotel in the new casino hotel NUSTAR for two nights.

Inside NUSTAR is the Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant Mott32 from Hong Kong.

I visited at lunchtime, so the view was nice and it felt like a Chinese restaurant in IFC in Central, Hong Kong.

Their Peking duck is famous, but it's a bit tough for a solo lunch.

For solo Peking duck, Red 8 at Wynn in Macau serves one for one, and I used to go there every night with a bowl of Northern Baitang noodles. I'm nostalgic.

Now, since it's lunch, I decided to have some dim sum and ordered two dishes.

The cheong fun had a crispy filling inside, which I don't really like, but it was delicious.

The xiaolongbao is generally delicious at any restaurant, but it was pretty good.

For cheong fun, I prefer Tim Ho Wan at SM Seaside, which is a 100 peso taxi ride away and is cheaper.

I was surprised when I saw the rice and noodle menu.

Fried rice 1800 pesos

Beef noodles (pictured) 1400 pesos

They were overcharging me because there was only one high-end Chinese restaurant in Cebu.

Twice the price of Crystal Dragon, a recommended high-end Chinese restaurant in COD Manila.

It was pretty tasty, but the noodles became less tasty just remembering the price.

This kind of restaurant is best eaten with the wallet of a casino host or junket.

After paying 3000 pesos for a high-end lunch, I checked out of the casino hotel and moved to a cheap hotel in Ayala Center in the center of Cebu city.
