It was only 17 degrees this morning... it's cold!
It feels like autumn has suddenly deepened.
Kokoro-chan has, of course, become a "Hidden Princess"!
Well, yesterday I made "paella" using the seafood mix I bought at Pal System.
In addition to the seafood mix, I put in chicken thighs, mushrooms, garlic, peppers, eggplant, and tomatoes... and made it in a frying pan.
It's basically a recipe by "Harumi Kurihara", but every time I make it, it's becoming more and more my own recipe (lol)
Also, curry powder is used instead of saffron to give it color and aroma, so it's easy to make.
And here it is!
It was delicious as usual.
I think that by making a dish many times, it will become our family's taste.
Well, because of COVID, I haven't traveled abroad or domestically for almost three years...
I'd like to reminisce about some fun trips I've had in the past.
After moving to Katsuura, the first trip I took with a friend from my time at a certain bank was a "7-day trip to the south of France" in 2006!
We went from Aix-en-Provence to Arles to Eze to Monaco to Nice.
When walking around the city of Eze, we asked a kind local lady for directions.
We took some photos together.
The small city of Eze was also very impressive.
With M-san, who went with me!
We also went to the small country of Monaco.
Students from Monaco!
Everywhere in Monaco was as gorgeous as I imagined!
This is Casino Monte Carlo.
I was overwhelmed by the rows of luxury cars!
This is a chocolate shop that is a supplier to the Monaco royal family.
I didn't have much time, but I quickly bought some chocolates!
But maybe because they were a regular customer, one bag of chocolate was expensive, costing about 2,800 yen.
The taste wasn't that great though...!
In Nice, Yoko, a young friend from my time at C Trust Bank, who lived near Turin in northern Italy, came all the way to see me, driven by her husband!
She is a kind and beautiful woman.
This is the flower market in Nice.
I bought some souvenirs at the shop on the right side of the flower market.
The restaurant I went to for dinner the previous day was also owned by an Algerian.
I had something like curry.
The guy who was playing the piano in the square in Nice!
And on the last night, I had bouillabaisse, a specialty of Nice.
It was a short 7-day trip, but I fully experienced the joy of traveling on this trip, so it sparked my desire to travel alone afterwards (lol)

Today's watercolor is a picture of Kokoro-chan, a kitten under the blooming hibiscus flowers! Kokoro-chan's cuteness is immortal! (lol)
