Today's Sweets ~ Restaurant Souvenir Chocolates: "Eat, Sleep, Play" Hotel Memo > 자유게시판

I've started writing my travel journal about Kyoto, and I've eaten a lot of delicious things there. One of them is "MUNI ALAIN DUCASSE" in the hotel "MUNI KYOTO" in Arashiyama. It was a wonderful dinner, but the chocolate I was given as a souvenir was so delicious that I gave it to my wife who was waiting for me at home, and she even said, "I can go to this restaurant if it's like that." When you eat at a grand maison, you often get such souvenirs. There are many sweets such as chocolate, sometimes confiture, and sometimes bread. Among them, this chocolate was particularly delicious. (The word "grand maison" literally means "big house." In Japan, it is a well-established word to describe a Michelin 3-star French restaurant, but it is a Japanese-made French word. It is not used in France.) When you turn it over, it looks like this. I think it is a tablet called "Le Mandiant aux fruits secs," and it seems to use couverture from the Paris workshop of "Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse." You can buy this type of tablet at "Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse", but it seems that this shape (like a bridge?) can only be bought at "LA BOUTIQUE" in "MUNI KYOTO". The outer box. "MUNI ALAIN DUCASSE" was full to capacity as it was the weekend. We enjoyed gourmet food under a painting by Chagall worth 1.4 billion yen. I will report the details later. The restaurant is lovely. The interior is also worth seeing, with old Baccarat glasses from Ducasse's collection. I went at night when Arashiyama was shrouded in darkness, but if you go during the day, you will be greeted by a hotel entrance like this. During the day, "LA BOUTIQUE" would have been open and you could have bought various sweets. The owner of this hotel is Mr. Yoshida, the founder of "Aiful".
